Showdown International Paced & Mannered Showing

Enjoy riding your horse but not attracted to dressage? Paced and Mannered Showing classes offer an exciting alternative.

What is Paced & Mannered Showing?

The horse or pony is judged on its paces and manners. Small or minor misdemeanours on the horse or pony's part are overlooked but bucking, rearing, refusing to go forward etc will be penalised severely. Paces should be even and easy on the eye.

The rider will be judged on their style and ability. They should be sat in the correct position, looking ahead (not at the camera). Stirrups should be the correct length - not too long or short.

The rider and horse or pony combination will be judged on the empathy between them and willingness of horse or pony to perform what is asked. The combination should be forward moving, well mannered, and the rider and horse or pony should be well matched. Overall the show should be pleasant to watch.

Set shows / Workouts

Here at Showdown International we are excited to offer a full range of our own riding workouts/set shows which are used to help standardise the marking of classes.
